Polaris, a
forerunner of Trident deployer undersea today. In the
1960s Norfolk Naval Shipyard tested pressurized-gas
ejecting of missiles prior to ignition. The shipyard
employed dummy missiles, which exactly duplicated the
Polaris in weight and dimensions.
